When thin clients suit a training or exam lab
Thin clients can suit compatible training and remote-desktop systems. Exam-provider CPU, memory, storage, operating-system and client-software requirements must be checked for the exact model before it is offered for an examination centre. Lower-power hardware may reduce power use, but host, network and maintenance costs belong in the full lab budget.
Cost per seat and power draw
For a fifty-seat CBT hall the arithmetic that matters is cost per seat and watts per seat. Thin clients typically draw a fraction of a desktop tower, which matters directly when the room runs on a generator or an inverter for part of the day. The selected devices, host, network and backup power must be tested against the intended software and concurrent seat count. Hardware type alone does not establish reliability or accreditation.
Planning a matched lab
A matched room can simplify support, but model availability and the full seat count must be confirmed for your order. What do I need besides the thin clients?
A host or server side, networking, monitors, keyboards and mice, and power. We supply those from our other lines and can quote the room as a whole.
